Montana Mountain Lion Hunting

Our trophy mountain lion hunts take place during the winter months, starting in December and running into mid March. The area we hunt these big cats in covers over 250 square miles of outfitting rights that we have secured in the LoLo National Forest of western Montana.

Accommodations during your Montana mountain lion hunt will be provided by the Lodge at LoLo Hot Springs. Here you will enjoy spacious rooms, comfortable queen size beds and hot showers. After a day’s hunt and a hearty meal you can treat yourself to a relaxing soak in the lodge’s private natural hot spring pools.

Early each morning of your hunt we leave the lodge via 4x4 vehicles. We drive the maze of logging roads looking for fresh lion tracks. These roads are located in prime wintering grounds were these big cats prey on the concentrated deer and elk. Once a big lion track is found we unleash our proven lion hounds on the big lion track and the “chase is on”! After we figure out the direction the chase is headed, if possible we use the 4x4 vehicles and snowmobiles to shorten the hike to the treed lion. As with most hunts you want to be in the best possible shape you can. The adrenaline rush and the “thrill of the chase” on a Montana mountain lion hunt is one experience you will never forget!!
